Offgrid Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 August 2026
The short version
Offgrid collects no data. None. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no third-party code. Nothing you do in Offgrid leaves your device.
What Offgrid does
Offgrid uses Apple's Screen Time technology (the Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks) to pause apps you choose, for a duration you choose, on your own device. You authorise this access explicitly, and you can revoke it at any time in Settings → Screen Time.
What we can't see
- Apple's Screen Time technology is designed so that the apps and categories you select are represented by opaque tokens. Offgrid never learns which apps you block.
- Your modes, sessions, and settings are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage.
- We receive no usage data, no crash reports, no identifiers — nothing.
Emergency calls
Phone calls — including emergency calls — always work. iOS does not permit any app, including Offgrid, to interfere with them.
Children
Offgrid is a self-control tool that manages only the device it is installed on, with the device owner's explicit authorisation. It is not a parental-control or monitoring product and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, meaningful changes are unlikely.
